Elaine Loft is a designer maker with 35+ year’s experience she trained at the world famous Cordwainers College
(now Cordwainers @ The London College of fashion)
After Graduation she worked in The Handbag and Leathergoods industry, and travelled to Italy developing her skills and knowledge of bespoke and fashion leather goods. In 1984 Elaine Returned to Cordwainers to begin her teaching career completing her Degree in Education and Training at The University ofGreenwich. she left teaching in 2011 after 26 years to start her own business and develop her own collection.
Elaine has now set up her own school in Essex concentrating on teaching the craft skills she loves to people who understand the intrinsic link between understanding the manufacturing process in order to develop good design and stunning products
Elaine also runs her own successful design label Robbins Laudat of London.
OUR FACILITIES
We work in a brand new purpose built fully equiped studio in southend on sea Essex.
We have the beach on the Eastern Esplanade 200 meters to our left perfect for relaxing in your lunch break.
Or if sand in your sandwich is not your idea of heaven we have the beautifully landscaped Southchurch Park with its quaint coffee shop. 100 meters to our right.
As well as our own private garden and conservatory.
